Acquisition of IMC helps solidify DT Globalā€™s position as a leader in international development.

DT Global has acquired the international development consultancy IMC Worldwide (IMC) and its US and European based subsidiaries, bringing together two international development leaders under one roof.

IMC is a leading international development consultancy with over 60 years of experience in delivering complex and high impact projects globally which make a positive impact on the worldā€™s most disadvantaged populations.

DT Global offers technical assistance and on-the-ground support in more than 90 countries. DT Globalā€™s work ranges from early-stage crisis and stabilisation assistance through to economic development, governance, and environmental work The company delivers solutions across five principal development areas ā€“ economic growth, environment and infrastructure, human development, governance and stabilisation and transition.

The acquisition of IMC Worldwide will bring into the DT Global family their rich history of projects in every region of the world, across a wide variety of sectors ranging from infrastructure development to climate and resilience, to innovation and inclusive growth, to monitoring and evaluation. The acquisition of IMC will also expand DT Globalā€™s geographic reach and deepens their expertise in infrastructure, climate change, and other leading development issues.

With the acquisition of IMC Worldwide, DT Global has solidified the companyā€™s global presence, with corporate offices in Washington DC, Madrid, Adelaide and London and long- and short-term presence in 95 countries. Its 450 employees support the critical missions of its core clients, including the US Agency for International Development, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the European Union, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as other public and private sector stakeholders.

In the UK, IMC Worldwide will retain its name and brand, operating as IMC Worldwide: A DT Global Company. Its Europe office will operate as IMCW Europe: A DT Global Company.

  • In a separate move, DT Global has also announced that they have entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire Cardno International Development, a leader in international development with a global presence and more than 1,500 personnel across 25 offices. They hope to finalise the acquisition by the end of June 2022.
