Stantec has been contracted to support the European Investment Bank’s communications activities outside the European Union.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has selected a consortium led by Stantec in Belgium for a framework contract to provide communications activities support outside the European Union (EU).
The company’s international development unit won Lot 2 of the contract, which covers the Middle East, Turkey, and southern Mediterranean countries including Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia. The framework contract aims to raise the visibility of the EU and EIB’s investments in these regions.
Through more robust and strategic campaigns and activities, Stantec will contribute to increasing public awareness of the different types of support provided by the EU and EIB. The team will develop and implement communication strategies and plans, including situational analyses, media strategies, digital and traditional campaigns, social media communications and visual branding.
“This project is well suited to Stantec’s team of communication experts,” explaied Virginie Louis, communication and visibility director at Stantec in Belgium. “Our communication and stakeholder engagement centre of expertise stands ready to support the EIB in its communication to and with local communities.
“Over the past years, we have successfully designed and run visibility and awareness-raising campaigns with communities for the European Commission within and outside Europe. This time, we look forward to leveraging our experience to support both the EIB and the EU together,” said Louis.
Stantec’s flagship communication projects in the region include the EU Neighbours South programme for the southern Mediterranean region, and the EU’s communication support programs in Tunisia and Morocco.
“Our team is uniquely qualified to provide support for the EIB’s communication activities, both as specialists in the design and production of communication materials as well as experts in strategic campaigns and outreach activities,” said Christophe Leroy, Stantec Belgium’s operations director.
“We combine this expertise with years of experience in designing campaigns with communities in mind, engaging stakeholders and ensuring we reach the right audiences. Well-organised and strategic communications are vital for the success of the EIB in the region and we’re proud to support this endeavour,” Leroy said.
