Marije Hulshof will become the new CEO of Royal HaskoningDHV from 4 April 2023.

Royal HaskoningDHV’s supervisory board has announced a change of roles in its executive board, with Erik Oostwegel changing from chief executive officer (CEO) to chief commercial officer and Marije Hulshof becoming the new CEO.

The change, which takes effect from 4 April 2023, is unanimously supported by both supervisory and executive board and follows Hulshof joining the executive board in July 2022.

Supervisory board chair Peter Blauwhoff said: “We thank Erik for his service and leadership as CEO. He has been steering the progress of Royal HaskoningDHV, its digital transformation as well as delivering on its purpose Enhancing Society Together. We look forward to further collaboration with Erik as CCO and member of the executive board and are confident he will continue to deliver value for the company in his new role.

“Since July 2022, Marije has been a strong and refreshing addition to the executive board with her extensive experience and result-driven mentality. We are fully confident that Marije can lead the company to deliver on its strategic priorities. We congratulate Marije with her new role as CEO and look forward to jointly with her, Erik and Jasper further develop the company.”

Erik Oostwegel commented: “I’ve been devoted to Royal HaskoningDHV for my entire working career; the company that manages to deliver engineering and consultancy services at the highest standards while strongly focusing on environmental and social impact.

“However, ten years as CEO is also a natural moment to reflect. While remaining in the executive board, I am very happy to hand over the baton to Marije. As chief commercial officer I will focus more on markets and clients for maximum impact. Congratulations to Marije and I look forward to continuing working together with her and Jasper in our new roles.”

Commenting on the impending changes, Marije Hulshof said: “I am honoured to be asked to take over the CEO role from Erik and I look forward to continuing to work together. We will go full speed ahead with the execution of our Stronger25 strategy. We work in a world that is volatile, yet full of opportunities and we are excellently positioned to serve our clients and have a positive impact on society. I am fully dedicated to do so, together with all the talented, remarkable people in our fantastic company.”
