Bentley Systems annual showpiece event is to take place online for the first time.

The Year in Infrastructure Conference is going digital for the first time ever this year. From 20-21 October 2020 delegates can join the event live and for free to hear from senior representatives from Bentley Systems and other top industry executives on how the infrastructure community is responding to its current challenges and continuing to innovate. On 20 October, the event will also announce online the winners of the The Year in Infrastructure Awards where the most compelling projects from 2020 are celebrated.

Bentley Systems has taken the decision to take their annual global infrastructure event online due to the ongoing challenges in organising physical events as a result of the coronavirus crisis. Conference attendees will be able to attend a range of sessions including “Digital Twins for Infrastructure Resilience” where Bentley CEO Greg Bentley will be joined by leading infrastructure executives for an interactive discussion on the resilience challenges they face and how to meet those challenges through digital advancement.

Year in Infrastructure will also see a number of discussions on the mainstreaming of digital twins, where industry professionals will share their views and thoughts on how this technology is increasingly being adopted successfully for project delivery or asset performance.

The virtual conference is designed for management-level executives responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, or operations of infrastructure from around the world. Attendees will gain exclusive insights about the advancements in infrastructure engineering software and cloud services and how they are empowering infrastructure professionals to design, build, and operate infrastructure that is more economically and environmentally sustainable.

With pre-conference discussions and presentations starting on 5 October and a packed agenda for the conference itself, The Year in Infrastructure 2020 looks to be well worth attending and with registration free of charge there is every incentive to sign up.
