New Delhi to host FIDIC’s Global Infrastructure Conference 2026.

FIDIC’s annual Global Infrastructure Conference 2026 will be hosted in New Delhi, India. As the flagship annual event organised by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, the conference offers an important global platform for the infrastructure industry to come together to exchange knowledge, share experiences and strengthen collaboration across regions on an international scale.

India’s growing influence and leadership in global infrastructure development means that New Delhi is a very relevant setting for the conference. As one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies, India is at the forefront of large-scale infrastructure delivery, innovation and capacity building, making it an ideal location for the global infrastructure community to meet and discuss the key challenges and opportunities it faces.

India’s infrastructure is undergoing massive development, focusing on roads, power, transport and digital connectivity, driven by a number of government initiatives and significant private investment to meet economic growth targets. India’s infrastructure financing landscape has transformed over the past few years, driven by strong policy support, regulatory reforms and expanding capital sources.

Upcoming infrastructure projects in Delhi, including metro extensions, expressways, airport upgrades and smart city developments, are set to transform the city’s connectivity and urban growth. These projects will ease traffic, create employment hubs and attract investments.

Recent changes in areas such as land acquisition, dispute resolution and environmental clearances have significantly reduced execution risks, thereby improving the bankability of projects. In addition, the Reserve Bank of India’s Project Finance Directions, effective 1 October 2025, have introduced a more balanced regulatory framework to enhance transparency, governance and risk management.

New Delhi, India’s capital, is located within the larger National Capital Territory of Delhi and serves as the seat of the Indian government, housing landmarks like Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House and the Supreme Court. Known for its rich history, diverse culture, Mughal architecture (Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutb Minar), vibrant street food and bustling markets, New Delhi offers a fascinating blend of ancient heritage and modern city life.

The conference will bring together all parts of the infrastructure industry, including clients, governments, policy makers, consulting engineers, contractors, lawyers, financiers and architects. The conference offers high-level dialogue, knowledge sharing and unparalleled networking opportunities with peers and partners from across the globe.

The FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference will take place from 13-15 September 2026 and registration will open soon. Potential attendees are being asked to register their details to receive full joining instructions as soon as soon as registration opens.
