International industry bosses to discuss future-ready infrastructure delivery at leadership forum event.

Global infrastructure leaders from across the consultancy and engineering sector will meet in Athens on 15-17 April 2026 at FIDIC’s annual Global Leadership Forum (GLF) to discuss some of the key infrastructure issues that matter to the industry during two days of talks, debates and discussions with industry leaders and opinion formers.

This year’s event, organised by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, will focus on the theme of Leading for Future-Ready Infrastructure Delivery and the invitation-only forum is specifically designed to equip senior executives with the vision, insights and strategies necessary to shape infrastructure that stands the test of time.

In an era defined by rapid technological change, shifting societal expectations and complex global challenges, infrastructure leaders are facing unprecedented pressures to deliver smarter, more resilient and more sustainable systems. Leading for Future-Ready Infrastructure Delivery will provide a CEO-level forum designed to equip senior executives with the vision, insights and strategies necessary to shape long lasting and sustainable infrastructure that makes a difference to people’s lives.

Discussions will cover some of the key aspects of future-driven infrastructure leadership including digital transformation and AI-enabled delivery, climate-resilient planning, financing models for next-generation assets, workforce evolution and cross-sector collaboration. Forum participants will get to hear how leading organisations are modernising their delivery practices using predictive analytics, automation, digital twins and integrated data ecosystems. They will also take a deeper dive into governance models that strengthen trust, reduce risk and shorten delivery timelines.

Some of the key issues to be addressed at the forum include:

  • Navigating global geopolitical challenges and their impact on infrastructure delivery.
  • Benchmarking sector performance and strategic priorities.
  • The Firm of the Future – evolving business models and AI adoption.
  • FIDIC’s Carbon Management Framework and early benefit realisation.
  • People Power – Shaping high-performing teams and future leaders.

The event in Athens will provide a unique forum for industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing their businesses and the wider engineering, construction and infrastructure sector and enable attendees to connect with their peers from around the world to share knowledge and to discuss and craft solutions to the major issues facing them, their leadership teams and the industry.
