Annual awards celebrating the best young engineering talent in Europe is now open for entries.
European engineering consultancy federation EFCA has launched the 17th edition of its Future Leaders competition. The awards celebrate the brightest young talent in Europe and are open to professionals aged 35 and under from EFCA-affiliated firms.
The prestigious awards highlight the innovation, diversity and opportunities within the engineering and consultancy sector, inspiring and showcasing emerging leaders while strengthening the visibility of EFCA’s growing network.
Five excellence categories focus on the expertise required to deliver positive climate impact, digital innovation and societal benefits. The competition gives EFCA member associations an opportunity to support and celebrate the next generation of leaders shaping the sector’s future as well as the chance to connect with these future industry leaders and showcase their country’s top talents.
All entries will be assessed against five excellence categories designed to emphasise the role of future leaders within a project and to reflect the extensive skills needed to meet society’s expectations of professionals in the sector. The categories being assessed are: –
- Quality of submission/presentation.
- Engineering.
- Digital and new technologies.
- Impact on climate and biodiversity.
- Contribution to society.
The overall winner of the EFCA Future Leaders’ Competition 2026 will be determined by evaluating the entries across all excellence categories (excluding submission/presentation quality) for the EFCA Grand Prix.
