A change at the top at COWI as Susanna Ohlin takes over as interim executive vice president.

Susanna Ohlin is to take over as interim leader of COWI in Sweden as Anders Wiktorson steps down from his role as executive vice president to pursue a career opportunity outside of COWI.

COWI group CEO Jens Højgaard Christoffersen said: “Anders took over the leadership of COWI in Sweden seven years ago and he has he has spearheaded the transformation of the business to align with COWI’s strategic direction. As a result, COWI in Sweden is now a profitable business with proven ability to win and deliver complex projects such as the Gothenburg West Link and the Karlstadbenet power transmission project, as well as taking on significant framework agreements with industry leaders such as Borealis and Preem.

“Sweden is the biggest market in the Nordic region and holds a vast potential for COWI, especially within the infrastructure, buildings and industry and renewable energy sectors. As Anders is leaving COWI, this is a good time to bring new leadership efforts into play to realise our ambition of continued growth in the Swedish market.”

The recruitment process for a new executive vice president of COWI in Sweden will start immediately. In the meantime and effective immediately, Susanna Ohlin will take over as interim executive vice president in addition to her current role as senior vice president of infrastructure in Sweden.

“I want to thank Anders for his huge contribution to COWI in Sweden and the executive leadership team,” continued Christoffersen. “I am grateful that he will be available as needed for the rest of the year to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.

“I also want to thank Susanna for taking on this additional responsibility on an interim basis. Susanna has been part of the leadership team in Sweden for the past four years and with her deep insight into our organisation and the Swedish market, I am confident that she will drive our ambition for growing our business in Sweden by supporting our customers in realising their projects,” said Christoffersen.
