Senior industry appointments set to boost Turner & Townsend’s project and cost management capabilities.
Global professional services business Turner & Townsend has appointed Ong See Lian, former global president of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Amnah Salleh to its senior management team in Malaysia.
Lian joins Turner & Townsend as strategic advisor and Salleh as director, cost management and both bring extensive industry experience, local market expertise and professional capabilities to the business as it seeks to expand its offering in real estate, infrastructure and natural resources in the market.
Lian served as the 130th global president for RICS and was the first Malaysian to hold the role. During his career, he has held a number of chairmanship and presidency roles with leading industry bodies, including with the International Construction Measurement Standard Setting Committee, the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors, and Commission 10 of the Federation of International Surveyors.
In a career spanning 50 years, Lian started at the Malaysian Public Works Department and worked across the public and private sectors in the construction and real estate industry. Salleh has 30 years of professional experience in real estate and infrastructure, covering residential, office and commercial developments, healthcare and manufacturing facilities, light rail transit stations and other infrastructure projects.
