A Joint Venture of 6 International and local consulting firms pulled from their wealth of professionals to form a team that executed their technical responsibilities in what must be recognized as a masterful showcase of International Co-operation. As an international bilateral project shouldering immense economic promise for both countries; transparency and integrity were essential for delivery. practiced leading to several achievements in quality as per the respective design specifications.

Concerning construction safety; the project achieved its target of over 10 million hours free of Lost Time Injuries. The Project implemented a rigorous Environmental Monitoring System that monitored water pollution, Aquatic Ecology, Noise, Air, Human Wildlife Conflict, etc. This led to a successful environmentally executed mega Project.

The Project has a Bridge Health monitoring system in operation as well as weather measuring devices that will contribute to the need for data availability when pushing forward the Green Infrastructure agenda. The local community can now cross the border for trade without risk of suffering loss on the Zambezi River.
