The project is for construction of double-track electrified railway track in 127.5 km route length to connect the eastern and western dedicated freight corridors. This is an integrated contract involving civil, track, Electrical and Signaling & Telecommunication works in one contract package.

The alignment of the project is overly complicated involving several technical and geographical challenges during construction. Project involves 05 stations, 205 bridges, 163 grade separated rail-road crossings. A significant portion of the project is on viaduct and it also involves construction of a 01 km long tunnel through difficult terrain.

Brief description of the project:

To connect Eastern and Western dedicated freight corridors for seamless transfer of freight traffic between eastern and western parts of India to reduce transit time and logistic cost along with reduction in carbon emissions in freight transportation.
