Augmenting water supply to Bangalore City by an additional 500 million litres per day to improve the per capita water supply from 105 to 150 litres.
Along with raising access to water, the project also raises wastewater treatment facility capacity from 660 million litres per day to 1,016 million litres.
The project also comprised a distribution improvement component across 300 Sq.km of the city. It also aimed to provide individual water supply and sanitary connection to urban poor residing in 362 notified slums, creating 100,000 new connections.
