The UAE Wind Program has delivered strong and lasting social, environmental, and professional benefits, reflecting innovation, quality, and a deep commitment to sustainability and community development.

Throughout the project’s construction, the team actively engaged with the local community, notably participating in Ramadan charity initiatives led by the local government. Individual employee donations totalled nearly AED 13,000, highlighting a culture of social responsibility. Beyond charitable contributions, the project created over 1,000 local jobs and provided hands-on training to a large number of skilled foreign engineers. These efforts supported local economic development and talent cultivation, fostering long-term capacity building. By bringing together professionals from diverse backgrounds, the project also contributed to China-Arab cultural exchange, strengthening mutual understanding and generating a meaningful positive social impact.

As the UAE’s first utility-scale wind power project, this initiative plays a critical role in advancing the country’s 2050 net-zero emissions strategy. It represents a major step in diversifying the national energy mix and transitioning toward cleaner, more sustainable sources. The project set a benchmark for safety management, completing its entire construction phase with zero accidents. This outstanding achievement earned it an International Safety Award in 2022, demonstrating exemplary leadership in health and safety performance. The project’s engineering scope—covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and trial operation—was delivered with high-quality standards, transparency, and integrity, supported by a multi-national, multi-disciplinary team.
