Shenzhen Metro Line 11

Shenzhen Western Group Line and Airport Express, connecting 18 stations with a maximum running speed of 120Km/h and an average commercial speed of about 55 km/h.

Equipped with 8-car formation type-A trains (including six regular trains and two commercial trains), the line provides differentiated services for commuter’s travel and airport business travel and realises sustainable operation for the compound function of group express and airport line.

It creatively plans and designs the efficient use of the space for Chegongmiao Station, releasing 0.6 hectares of land in the urban core area and developing 153,000 square meters for buildings construction. Through simultaneous planning, design and construction for rail transit depots and superstructure properties, 39.3 hectares of land is intensively used and 796,000 square meters of developable construction area is provided.

This realises the balance between TOD development gain and project construction cost, as well as the sustainable development of rail transit.

The line is developed with the integration of urban rail transit and art and with the integration of rail transit and environment – to create a beautiful sea scenery for the city. It also incorporates low-carbon and energy-saving measures.

Through elevated line laying, energy-saving slope design, energy-saving operation mode and various high-efficiency energy-saving technologies, the comprehensive energy-saving efficiency has reached 18% or around 11.233 million kilowatt hours of electricity every year along the whole line.
